Welcome!
If you’re here, I’m guessing that you have seen my writing somewhere, perhaps in a book that I’ve written, edited, or contributed to; or maybe you’ve seen me on Photocritic, or on another website, or that you’ve seen a photo that I’ve taken and you’d like to know more about me.
I’m a writer and photographer based, nominally at least, in London. I tend to travel quite a bit; mostly because I like it, but also because it helps to have interesting and beautiful images to illustrate the books that I write. Those books are about helping people (like you) to take better pictures. I cover photography industry news, too, as well as share my opinions on things that affect photographers and the craft of photography.
As well as freelance writing (get in touch if you’d like to hire me for my services), I help to run the Photocritic Photography School. It’s a fun, informal, email-based learning programme.
Do take a look around and get in touch if you have any questions or just to say hello.
